James shot this nice turkey in the spring season 2007. He went into the woods before daylight and set up his decoys. He sat down by a familar large size tree and begin to use his striker and mouth piece at the first crack of dawn. After a few minutes the old gobbler answered several yards away and was making his way around an old slough from an over-grown area of thickly grown saplings and underbrush. James said after about a 20 minute play with the old bird he came in all ruffled up and walked swiftly toward the hen and jake decoys he had on the ground. Just as the wise old "tom" was about to get wise he slowly raised his new 12 gauge automatic shotgun, took aim and the rest of the story is in this photo.
