Grandpa Tom's birthday fishing trip!
On Sunday June 1st James, Seth and Grandpa Tom loaded up early and drove across the river and docked the boat in at Spiro Lake. They were fishing for perch and catfish. Seth was using his new Zebco 33 and had his hook baited with redworms. He tied into a big one and it took hook line and sinker! He was so excited and this made him more eager to fish. They were forced off the water about 10:30 by a thunderstorm, but they had caught 80 sun perch and 7 nice size blue and channel catfish. It took James awhile to fillet all of them, but he got the job done. This was grandpa's 94th birthday fishing trip with grandson and great, great grandson!
